I am employed both in the performing arts and education sectors, excited to help develop musicians of the future. Hence I run a small private teaching practice, teach at the Young Actors Theatre Islington, the Herts Music Centre, and regularly cover with the London Music Institute. Perhaps it is helpful to know that I maintain a fully enhanced DBS check and obtained a "safeguarding in education" certificate. I also hold a CertHE in psychodynamic psychotherapy and have experience working with SEND.
1 - 1 Singing Lessons
Whether you are looking for a new hobby or want to prepare for auditions and professional performances, this classical singing course provides lessons tailored to your goals. Together, we will discover the potential of your instrument by building on skills in vocal technique such as breath support and projection. Because vocal health is vital in your singing journey, you will learn fun warm-ups that enrich your vocal technique. The classical singing repertoire includes opera, oratorio and art songs in various styles and languages. You will receive language coaching when learning your favourite German lieder, French chansons and Italian arias. Text interpretation will be a focal point of your musicianship and development of performance skills. Where possible, I provide piano accompaniment throughout our lessons. This particular singing course at YATI is mainly for adult learners, though with a degree of flexibility.
